Dr.Chris Stanley from CynapseDX, our research partner presented some of the results from the research at the Manx BioMed conference held at the Villa Marina on Thursday 30th November.
Six months in and good progress is being made. One of the achievments being and indication that,"MSA patients have very high Abeta oligomers and elevated ASN oligomers".
The aim of the research is to understand if MSA can be diagnosed through a relativelysimple blood test and we're hopeful that our research is make some progress towards our objective. More to follow once we have the official interim update and as the research progresses through its second six months.

Multiple system atrophy (MSA) is a progressive neurological disorder that affects adult men and women. It is caused by degeneration or atrophy of nerve cells in several (or multiple) areas of the brain which can result in problems with movement, balance and autonomic functions of the body such as bladder and blood pressure control.
